Unilever India posts smaller quarterly profit as costs weigh July 28 (Reuters) - Hindustan Unilever HLL.NS reported a 4% fall in quarterly profit on Tuesday, as higher raw material costs and expenses, partly linked to the Middle East war, squeezed margins.
The domestic unit of UK's Unilever ULVR.L, home to brands such as Dove and Surf Excel, said its profit fell to 26.31 billion rupees ($274.92 million) for the first quarter ended June 30 from 27.32 billion rupees a year earlier.
