April 1 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 1330 GMT on Wednesday:

** Acrisure has completed its deal to buy technology-focused Vave from Canopius Group, as it further expands its underwriting platform led by Adrian Jones with an MGA that it said is now the "cornerstone" of its E&S property underwriting.

** Investment manager Franklin Templeton  said it has agreed to acquire cryptocurrency investment unit 250 Digital, spun out of venture firm CoinFund.

** The field of suitors for British aerospace and defence supplier Senior Plc  narrowed after private equity firm Arcline Investment Management dropped out of buyout talks, though negotiations with other bidders remained ongoing.

** U.S. firm Virtus Minerals has acquired Congolese cobalt and copper producer Chemaf, U.S. Under Secretary of State for Economic Affairs Jacob Helberg said on Tuesday.

** Biogen  will buy Apellis Pharmaceuticals  for about $5.6 billion, adding a promising kidney disease drug to broaden its rare-disease portfolio amid efforts to diversify beyond its slowing multiple sclerosis franchise.

** Unilever  will merge its food business with spice maker McCormick , it said on Tuesday, creating a company worth around $65 billion in the second-largest food transaction in history.
