UNITED UTILITIES GROUP PLC

DIRECTORS' AND PDMR INTERESTS IN SHARES

United Utilities Group PLC ("the Company") announces that it received
notification on 15 September 2014 that the Trustee, Equiniti Share Plan
Trustees Limited, purchased ordinary shares of 5p each on behalf of the
following directors and persons discharging managerial responsibility on 12
September 2014, to be held in accordance with the rules of the Company's HMRC
approved share incentive plan. The shares were purchased at a price of 858.98
pence per share.
