** USB's third-quarter net interest income forecast misses estimates

** Co expects third-quarter interest income between $4.1 billion and $4.2 billion, below expectations of $4.24 billion - LSEG

** The bank also misses estimates for Q2 NII - reports $4.05 billion in the quarter, missing estimates of $4.12 billion

** However, USB's Q2 profit beat Street's estimates as loan loss provisions fell

** As of last close, USB has lost nearly 4% in 2025
