** Shares of V2 Retail Ltd VREL.NS climb 3.5% to 2,244.1 rupees

** Budget retailer said in a business update that its Q2 standalone rev grew 86% to 7.05 billion rupees ($79.4 million)

** VREL said it was helped by limited price markdowns, better inventory management

** Stock rose as much as 8.3% to record high of 2,348.9 rupees

** Over 455,000 shares traded, 4x the 30-day avg volume

** Stock up 32% so far this year
