vTv Therapeutics rises on positive psoriasis drug trial results

** Drug developer's shares  VTVT.O  climb 31.6% to $2.33
premarket - set for 3-month high open if gains hold; more than
8x 25-DMA shares traded
    ** Co on Thursday after market close said its experimental
treatment for psoriasis, HPP737, was safe and well-tolerated in

    ** Treatment showed improvement in proportion to dosage; no
serious side effects or participant dropouts due to the
treatment took place during the trial, even for the higher dose
    ** VTVT said it plans to apply for FDA approval for a
mid-stage trial based on feedback from a meeting with FDA;
expects to begin mid-stage trial in early 2022
    ** Stock down ~5% YTD up to Thursday's close
