Brazil pension fund Previ to support Oliveira for Vale chair, says no plan to nominate in 2027
Brazil pension fund Previ to support Oliveira for Vale chair, says no plan to nominate in 2027 RIO DE JANEIRO, June 23 (Reuters) - Brazilian pension fund Previ will support Manuel Lino Silva Souza de Oliveira for the role of chairman of miner Vale's VALE3.SA board, it said in a statement on Tuesday.
Previ’s request for Vale’s board to call an extraordinary general meeting to replace Chairman Daniel Stieler is consistent with its role as an institutional investor, the fund said, adding it does not plan to nominate board chairs in 2027 and will instead back independent candidates.
