 Appointment of Chief Financial Officer 
 
 Non-executive Director appointment 
 Vast Resources plc, the AIM listed mining company, is pleased to announce the
appointment of Mr. Graham Briggs as a Non-executive Director with immediate
effect.  For eight years Mr. Briggs has held the position of Chief Executive
Officer and Board Member of Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited, in 2015 the
third largest gold producer in South Africa, and brings extensive operational
experience to the Board as it develops its mining properties. 
 
 Mr. Briggs, who has a degree in Geology and Applied Geology from the
University of Durban has had a career in the mining industry spanning 43
years.  He is Vice Chairman of the Chamber of Mines in South Africa. 
 
 Chief Financial Officer 
 Vast also announces the appointment of Mr Pierre Joubert as Chief Financial
Officer of the Company with immediate effect.  Until he became self-employed
in 2012 Mr Joubert spent seven years with Macquarie, mostly with the Macquarie
Natural Resources Group in the Far East where he worked on a variety of cross
border merger and acquisition transactions and capital raisings.  Mr Joubert
is a chartered accountant and has a certificate in the financial modelling of
derivatives from the University of South Africa.  Mr Joubert has already been
working for the Company part-time as a consultant and his full-time
appointment significantly adds to the strength of the financial team as the
Company develops its new mines.  Mr Joubert will not be a director of the
company on appointment. 
 
 Vast's Chief Executive Officer, Roy Pitchford, said, "These appointments add
greatly to the Company's strengths.  Graham's extensive mining experience
will add substantial weight to the non-executive Board and Pierre is a
valuable addition to the senior executive team."
