Verbund to pay 2.1 billion euros in windfall tax
Dec 21 (Reuters) - Verbund VERB.VI forecasts that
around 2.1 billion euros ($2.23 billion) will be skimmed off its
profits following the implementation of a windfall tax in
Austria and Germany, the Austrian hydropower producer said on
Wednesday.
The payments from the profit levy will essentially be
divided equally between the years 2023 and 2024, it added.
