Verizon CFO to Speak Sept. 17 at Bank of America Merrill Lynch Conference   

NEW YORK, Sept. 16, 2014 -- Fran Shammo, executive vice president and chief
financial officer of Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE, Nasdaq: VZ), will speak
at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch 2014 Media, Communications and
Entertainment Conference in Beverly Hills, California, on Wednesday, Sept. 17.
