Wall Street's main indexes slumped to their lowest in a week on Thursday, as fresh economic data tempered optimism around further interest rate cuts, indicating a sharp shift in sentiment across a market betting on aggressive easing. .N

At  13:30 EDT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was down 0.38% at 45,945.98.The S&P 500 .SPX was down 0.59% at 6,598.87, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was down 0.63% at 22,356.41.
