ISTANBUL, July 23 (Reuters) - Turkey's home appliance sales
are expected to fall 15% in 2019, head of the TURKBESD home
appliances association said on Tuesday, adding that domestic
sales in six main product groups had dropped 9% in the first six
months of the year.
Speaking at a news conference, Can Dincer said that costs in
the sector had risen 45-50% due to high exchange rates compared
to last year and that companies were in a difficult position
because they could not reflect the prices in the domestic
market.
