Non-executive Director Changes

 

Vesuvius plc, a global leader in molten metal flow engineering and technology,
is pleased to announce the appointment of Carla Bailo as a Non-executive
Director of the Company with effect from 1 February 2023.

 

Carla joins the Board as an additional Independent Non-executive Director and
will serve on the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees. Carla is an
engineer with more than 40 years' experience in the automotive industry. She
has spent the past five years serving as President and CEO of the Center for
Automotive Research ('CAR') in the USA, a position she stepped down from at
the end of September 2022. She currently serves as a non-executive Director on
EVe Mobility Acquisition Corp., Advance Auto Parts, Inc. and SM Energy
Company. Prior to joining CAR, Carla was Assistant Vice President for Mobility
Research and Business Development at The Ohio State University. She spent 25
years working at the Nissan Motor Company where she served in a variety of
senior management and engineering roles, culminating as Senior Vice President,
Research and Development, Americas and Total Customer Satisfaction. Carla also
spent 10 years earlier in her career with General Motors.

 

The Company also announces that Jane Hinkley will step down as an Independent
Non-executive Director of the Company from the close of the 2023 Annual
General Meeting, after 10 years of service on the Board.

 

Carl-Peter Forster, Chairman of Vesuvius, said:

Independent Non-executive Director of Vesuvius. Carla is a very experienced
engineer and general product manager, with a strong research and development
background gained in the automotive industry. Alongside her international
experience she also brings with her extensive knowledge of US markets. With
this background Carla is a most valuable addition to the Board.

 

On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Jane Hinkley for her dedicated
service as a Director of the Company. Jane has served on the Board since the
creation of Vesuvius plc and has provided wise counsel and exceptional support
throughout. She will leave the Board following the 2023 Annual General Meeting
with our very best wishes."
