VF Corp to sell Dickies for $600 million, shares rise

** Shares of apparel maker VF Corp VFC.N rise 3% to $15.3 premarket

** VFC says it will sell its workwear brand, Dickies, to privately held brand management firm Bluestar Alliance in a cash deal valued at $600 million

** VFC also houses brands such as The North Face, Vans and Timberland

** As of last close, VFC stock down ~30.8% YTD
