Corrects headline to say Q2 "sales and profit", not "sales and revenue"

** Shares in VF Corp VFC.N up 2.7% at $17.05 in premarket trading

** Apparel and footwear maker posts Q2 revenue of $2.80 bln, above market estimates of $2.74 bln - data compiled by LSEG

** Q2 adjusted EPS of 52 cents also beats Wall Street estimates of 43 cents

** Co, however, forecast 1% to 3% fall in Q3 sales vs year ago

** Up to last close, stock had fallen ~23% YTD
