    ECONOMY
    Bank of Italy releases quarterly 'Economic Bulletin'.    
    Italy will put the former Ilva steel company, majority owned
by ArcelorMittal  MT.LU , under special administration to keep
it afloat, the government told trade unions in a meeting on
Thursday.
    
    COMPANIES
    UNICREDIT  CRDI.MI , POPOLARE DI SONDRIO  BPSI.MI   
    UniCredit Chief Executive Andrea Orcel said on Thursday his
bank was not buying shares in Popolare di Sondrio, dismissing as
"noise" a newspaper report about UniCredit being the lender
behind stakebuilding in the smaller rival.
    
    ENI  ENI.MI  
    Shares in the state-controlled Italian energy group fell on
Thursday on renewed speculation that Italy's Treasury could
reduce its stake in the company to raise funds to cut public
debt, traders said.    
    The company said on Thursday it signed a joint confirmation
agreement on a hybrid renewables-gas project in Kazakhstan with
the country's national oil and gas company KazMunayGas, and a
cooperation agreement with Kazakhstan's national gas company
QazaqGaz.
    
    SAFILO  SFLG.MI  
    The Italian glasses maker and U.S. denim clothing maker Levi
Strauss & Co  LEVI.N  have extended a licensing deal for
Levi's-branded eyewear until the end of 2029, the two companies
said.
    
    TELECOM ITALIA  TLIT.MI 
    The board of directors of Telecom has decided to present its
own list for the renewal of the body, the company said in a
statement. It added the current board deems it appropriate to
reduce the number of board members to nine from 15.
    
    RAI WAY  RWAY.MI  
    Italian state broadcaster RAI said on Thursday it plans to
sell a stake of up to 15% in its TV tower company, a move that
Treasury sources said would leave open the possibility of a
long-awaited merger between the unit and rival EI Towers.
    
    MAIRE 
    The company said on Thursday it signed an MoU with the
Kazakhstan sovereign fund Samruk-Kazyna to explore possibilities
for cooperation on energy transition projects, in the context of
an Italy-Kazakhstan summit in Rome.

    The Italian energy engineering and construction group wants
to work with Kazakhstan on decarbonisation and renewable energy
projects, CEO Alessandro Puliti said at an Italy-Kazakhstan
business round table in Rome on Thursday.
