impose tariffs on China-made electric vehicles as it seeks to
align itself with allies against what they see as a heavily
subsidized Chinese industry.
** Canadian gold miner Victoria Gold VGCX.TO has halted
operations at its Eagle gold mine in central Yukon after a
landslide reportedly hit the site on Monday.
** Bank of Canada Governor Tiff Macklem said the Canadian
economy appears to be on track for a soft landing where
inflation falls back to the bank’s target without a major spike
in unemployment.
