Victoria Gold rises on higher production of gold

** Shares of Canada-based Victoria Gold Corp  VGCX.TO  jump
6% to C$10.14 - a 2-month high
    ** VCGX produced 37,619 ounces of gold during Q1 2023
    ** Ounces of gold produced in Q1 rose 54% from last year's
24,358 ounces
    ** "This was the best Q1 performance for the Eagle Gold Mine
since operations commenced with strong gold production and ore
tonnage stacked on the heap leach pad," said CEO John McConnell
in a statement
    ** Co's flagship asset is its 100% owned Dublin Gulch
property, which includes the Eagle Gold Deposit
    ** Including session's gain, stock is up 42% YTD
