** Shares of cruise operators down between 1.8% and 6% in
afternoon trading
** Analysts at Barclays say shares could be down in part
because of the impact from Hurricane Beryl that has strengthened
as it churns towards the Caribbean on Monday, according to
officials, threatening devastating flooding and storms
** "Think it's that (Hurricane), plus the European terrorism
threat warning. The negative Air France outlook and higher oil
both don't help. Lastly, the stocks had been outperforming,"
says Barclays analyst Brandt Montour
** Shares down: Carnival CCL.N 5%, Norwegian Cruise Line
NCLH.N 6%, Royal Caribbean Group RCL.N 1.8%, Viking Holdings
VIK.N 2.6%
** Including session moves, CCL and NCLH are down 4.5% and
12.1% YTD, respectively, while RCL is up 20% in the same period
