April 29 (Reuters) - Australian retailer Endeavour Group EDV.AX on Tuesday appointed Jayne Hrdlicka as its new chief executive officer (CEO) and managing director, effective January 1, 2026, pending regulatory approval.
Hrdlicka, formerly CEO at Virgin Australia IPO-VIR.AX, successfully led the airline's post-pandemic recovery after taking the helm in 2020.
During her four-year tenure, she navigated the carrier out of administration and played a key role in reshaping operations at the airline after U.S. private equity firm Bain Capital acquired it during the height of the COVID-19 crisis.
Apart from being the CEO of Virgin Australia, Hrdlicka was previously CEO and Managing Director of the A2 Milk Company ATM.NZ and Group CEO at the Jetstar Group.
She is currently the chairman and board president of Tennis Australia, the governing body for tennis in Australia.
Meanwhile, current Executive Chairman Ari Mervis will continue in his position until Hrdlicka's commencement.
