Viscofan falls after media report alleges environmental violations in US factory

** Shares in Spanish meat casing maker Viscofan VIS.MC fell by as much as 18% after a media report on Tuesday alleged  environmental violations happened at its Danville factory in Illinois, U.S..

** Viscofan in a statement categorically denied the allegations it had failed to comply with environmental regulations and said its Danville plant complies with strict environmental measures.

** Shares later recovered to trade 13.4% lower, but still had their worst day since October 2018.
