15 March 2022

VCL Vintners announces best month on record with approximately £2m turnover
in February 2022

VCL Vintners, London's leading whisky cask broker amongst investors under 45,
has reported sustained strong performance in 2022, achieving the company's
best month on record in February.

After announcing an annual turnover from January 2020 to January 2021 of
£11.9m, VCL Vintners traded over £1.8m in high-grade whisky last month
alone.

Stuart Thom, a Director and co-founder of VCL Vintners, believes this success
is the result of a growth period for the company following the lifting of
Covid restrictions in the UK.

"Over the course of 2021, we were able to onboard more staff, which is what we
needed to unlock the results we are now seeing. We hired more people to help
manage our expanding number of whisky casks in HMRC bonded warehouses in
Scotland and grew our client service team. With the ability to train new staff
in person, we are ensuring a continuity of the quality of the investment
advice and management our clients have come to expect from VCL Vintners."

As gatherings of large groups of people have become possible and popular
again, VCL Vintners has hosted whisky tasting events and socials for clients.

Another driver of business to the whisky cask brokerage has been rising
inflation and instability in the capital markets due to the ongoing COVID-19
pandemic and escalating conflict in Ukraine.

Commenting on the current investment climate, a Director and co-founder,
Benjamin Lancaster added: "As the terrible events in Ukraine create extreme
volatility in the stock market, we are finding the current climate is
a double-edged sword for whisky investment. For some, the rising cost of
living is making people hold onto their liquid capital for longer, but others
are seeing it as a haven against inflatFion and geopolitical threats, such
as a pandemic and war. Due to the current levels of uncertainty, naturally we
have seen an increase in existing clients looking to expand their portfolios.
More interestingly, there has been a notable increase in investors who have
previously enquired about the whisky market and are now revisiting the
sector to make their first cask purchases."

About VCL Vintners

Founded in 2010, VCL Vintners source and manage the finest investment-grade
single malt whisky casks for their network of retail and institutional
investors.

VCL Vintners provides investment opportunities ranging from new-fill barrels
to some of the oldest and rarest casks available. With assets under management
currently totalling around GBP 70 million, VCL Vintners is on track to corner
a significant amount of the whisky market's total reserves, targeting an
additional managed amount of GBP 150 million within the next decade.

Whisky is now one of the globe's best-performing asset classes, with both
prices and demand continuing to grow at a double-digit rate. However, despite
these ten-fold increases and interest from new investors, investment-grade
whisky's reputation for running on relationship-based acquisitions can make it
somewhat difficult to enter. VCL Vintners' expert advice assists clients at
all stages of their investment journey, allowing investment in a range of
whisky options, from sought-after individual bottles to entire casks.
