** Shares of utility Vistra VST.N rise 6.2% in extended trading

** Company to acquire Cogentrix Energy from Quantum Capital Group for nearly $4.7 billion

** Deal includes three combined cycle gas turbine facilities and two combustion turbine facilities located across PJM

** Transaction also includes four combined cycle gas turbine facilities in ISO New England and one cogeneration facility in ERCOT

** Deal is expected to close in mid-to-late 2026

** VST shares up 17% in 2025
