Aug 23 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions
and disposals were reported by 0945 GMT on Tuesday:

    ** Russia's largest lender Sberbank  SBER.MM  has agreed to
sell its Kazakh subsidiary to Kazakh state-owned financial
holding Baiterek, the bank said without disclosing financial
details.

    ** Russia's leading internet firm Yandex  YNDX.O  said it
had agreed to sell its news aggregator and yandex.ru homepage to
rival VK  VKCOq.L  in a move likely to further limit Russians'
access to independent media.

    ** Japan's Olympus Corp  7733.T  is close to selling its
microscope unit to a private equity firm in a deal that could
fetch more than 300 billion yen ($2.2 billion), three people
with direct knowledge of the matter told Reuters.

    ** Alcon AG  ALCC.S  said it would acquire Aerie
Pharmaceuticals  AERI.O  in a deal valued at about $753 million,
as the Swiss eye-care company looks to bolster its pipeline of
opthalmic treatments.

    ** Cellular infrastructure company Highline on Monday
successfully offered 1.7 billion reais ($329.64 million) to buy
8,000 fixed line towers from Brazilian telecom firm Oi SA
 OIBR4.SA , placing the sole bid in the auction for the assets,
