** India's top court deferred to next week the mobile carrier's plea to quash fresh demand of telecom dues worth 94.5 billion rupees ($1.07 billion) from government, CNBC-TV18 says on X

** Government told supreme court it doesn't oppose plea, that some solution is required on matter, tweet adds

** Court observed there has to be finality in matter

** Telcos, including Vodafone, Bharti Airtel BRTI.NS, long contested so-called "adjusted gross revenue" dues with government

** Stock rated "hold" on avg; median PT 7 rupees, per data compiled by LSEG

** YTD, VODA gains 5%
