Volex plc
("Volex", or the "Group")
Appointment of Non-Executive Chair and Chief Executive Officer
Volex plc (AIM: VLX), the specialist integrated manufacturer of critical power
and data transmission products, is pleased to announce that Dave Webster has
been appointed as Non-Executive Chair with immediate effect. Nat Rothschild
will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer, also with immediate effect.
Dave brings significant experience to the Board from leading and successfully
growing advanced global manufacturing businesses across the public and private
sectors, covering multiple sectors. At CPM Holdings, Inc, where he has
served as Chief Executive Officer since 2020, Dave has driven the company's
strategic focus on developing advanced process automation equipment and
aftermarket parts and services that improve industrial processes, enhance
product quality and reliability, and increase output across feed and food
production, green energy, advanced materials and sustainable packaging.
Prior to joining CPM, Dave led Electrical Components International (ECI) for
more than 20 years, transforming it into a global leader with over $1 billion
in revenue, 24,000 employees and operations in 14 countries. This growth was
delivered through a focus on building long-term relationships with blue chip
customers and suppliers through a commitment to outstanding service,
operational excellence and product leadership.
Dave holds degrees in Business Administration from Kent State University and a
Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University.
In addition to being appointed as Non-Executive Chair of Volex, Dave will join
its Nominations Committee as an additional member.
Commenting on his appointment, Dave Webster said: "It is a pleasure to join
Volex at this stage in the Group's evolution, as it continues to implement its
strategy at pace. The opportunity for further growth is enormous, and I look
forward to working with the Board to drive shareholder value over the coming
years."
Nat Rothschild, Chief Executive Officer of Volex, commented: "This evolution
in our leadership structure underlines our key priorities today - to extend
and deepen our customer relationships across our growing business and to focus
on the delivery of our strategy. I'm very much looking forward to working
with Dave, and the existing Board, to pursue these opportunities as we drive
further growth across our markets."
