BERLIN, June 25 (Reuters) - All three bids for Volkswagen's VOWG_p.DE diesel engine maker Everllence were "clearly above €9 billion euros", with some "in the direction" of 10 billion euros ($11.3 billion), a source familiar with the matter told Reuters on Thursday.
The winning bidder Bain Capital had the lowest bid but may have offered the most guarantees for possible risks linked to Everllence's project 'Balthazar', the source added.
