U.S. stocks slid on Wednesday, led by industrial shares, after
Washington's threat to impose tariffs on an additional $200
billion worth of Chinese goods raised fears of an escalating
trade war.  N 
    At 11:19 a.m. ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI 
was down 0.56 percent at 24,780.67. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down
0.47 percent at 2,780.75 and the Nasdaq Composite  .IXIC  was
down 0.45 percent at 7,724.087.
