Waldencast rises after US FDA clears its facial filler

** Shares of beauty and wellness platform Waldencast WALD.O rise 4.9% to $1.94 premarket

** WALD says the FDA has approved Obagi saypha MagIQ, an injectable gel used as a facial filler

** Waldencast says approval could roughly double potential market size of its product line, Obagi Medical, to about $4.2 billion by 2029

** The approval was based on a study of smile lines around the nose and mouth of 270 patients, conducted over 24 weeks (and followed to 48 weeks)

** As of last close, WALD stock down ~54% YTD
