BofA, Citi set to kick off busy week for US big banks

** Bank of America BAC.N and Citigroup C.N set to present at Barclays Global Financial Services Conference later on Monday, kicking off a busy week for big U.S. banks
** BofA CEO Brian Moynihan expected to speak at 1 p.m. ET (1700 GMT), Citi finance chief Gonzalo Luchetti set to present at 3:30 p.m. ET 
** Wall Street closely watching for commentary on deal pipelines and updates on consumer health 
** Q3 investment banking volumes have been soft so far, analysts say, sharpening focus on execution in September, typically a strong month for deal activity
** Most executives are set to speak before the U.S. central bank announces its policy decision on Wednesday and their commentary could set the tone for investor expectations ahead of Q3 results next month
** "More than just the financial impact of a 25bp rate hike or hold on bank EPS, Chair Warsh's framing of the decision and handling of the press conference is critical; there's nothing like an unhappy bond market to spoil the capital markets and loan growth party," UBS analyst Erika Najarian said last week
