UPDATE 1-UK Stocks-Factors to watch on September 16 Adds new items, updates futures
Sept 16 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening higher on Wednesday, with futures FFIc1 up 0.3%.
* BARRATT REDROW: Barratt Redrow BTRW.L trimmed its home completions target for fiscal 2027, citing planning delays and fewer sales outlet openings.
* WH SMITH: WH Smith SMWH.L expects annual pre-tax profit of about £75 million, at the bottom end of its earlier forecast range, as margins were crimped by higher promotional activity and costs.
* BABCOCK: Babcock International BAB.L reaffirmed its annual outlook on the back of strong momentum across its marine, nuclear and land businesses amid higher defence spending.
* HEATHROW: Britain cannot expand London's Heathrow Airport and still meet its climate targets unless airlines are required to take full responsibility for their emissions, climate advisers said.
* AI: One in six workers in Britain is paying for an AI tool to help them do their job, at a total cost of nearly £1 billion a year of their own money, according to a Deloitte research.
* FOOD PRICES: British food price inflation will reach up to 3.9% this year and nearly 7% in 2027, driven by Middle East disruption, rising input costs and extreme weather, a grocery industry researcher said.
* OIL: Oil prices fell following an unexpectedly large build in U.S. crude inventories, while supply disruptions in the Middle East lingered.
* GOLD: Gold prices ticked up as oil prices eased, while market participants looked ahead to the U.S. Federal Reserve's policy decision, with a rate hike largely priced in.
* METALS: Copper rose marginally from a more than three-week low, even as investors expect the U.S. Federal Reserve to hike interest rates.
