WH Smith PLC (the "Company") announces that it has purchased, in accordance with the authority granted by shareholders at the Company's Annual General Meeting on 24 January 2018, the following number of its ordinary shares of 22 6/67 pence each ("Shares") as part of the buyback programme announced on 7 December 2018:
