** Spot silver XAG= up 1.6% at $48.772/ounce on expectations for further interest rate cuts from the U.S. Federal Reserve

** Hecla Mining HL.N up 1.9% and Coeur Mining CDE.N rises 2.3%

** Canadian miner Wheaton Precious Metals WPM.TO, WPM.N up 1.2%

** Abrdn Physical Silver Shares ETF SIVR.P up 2.5% and iShares Silver Trust SLV.P up 2.6%
