British analytics firm Experian appoints BT's Adam Crozier as chair-designate

April 21 (Reuters) - Credit data and analytics firm Experian EXPN.L on Tuesday named British telecom BT Group's BT.L Adam Crozier as its chair-designate, effective May 12, when he will succeed Mike Rogers.

The appointment follows Experian's announcement in January that Rogers would retire as chair after completing nine years on the board and seven years in the role.

Here are some details:

Crozier is currently chair of BT and has previously served as chair of Premier-Inn owner Whitbread WTB.L and online fashion retailer ASOS ASOS.L.

Experian Senior Independent Director Alison Brittain said Crozier's appointment follows a "comprehensive and rigorous search process".

"He (Crozier) brings extensive leadership and board experience across large, international businesses, and his insight will be valuable as we continue to execute our strategy and deliver long-term growth," Experian CEO Brian Cassin said.

Rogers will retire as chair at the conclusion of Experian's annual general meeting.

Data and analytics firms recently have been hit by worries over the impact of powerful new AI models on their business cases and whether the billions being spent by organisations on technology updates are sustainable.

In January, Experian maintained its annual outlook after reporting third-quarter organic revenue growth of 8%.
