Wall Street's main indexes fell on Wednesday as growing tensions in the Middle
East dented risk sentiment, with investors also focused on earnings to gauge the
impact of inflation and high interest rates on businesses.  .N 
    
    At 11:45 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down 0.50% at
33,827.35. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.76% at 4,340.13 and the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was down 0.90% at 13,411.998.
