** Sub-index on track for a third consecutive session of losses if the current trend holds
** On Wednesday, major U.S. stock indexes ended more than 1% lower, on the back of chipmaker shares extending recent declines .N
** U.S. tech index peer Nasdaq Composite .IXIC falls nearly 2% 
** Sector majors Wisetech Global WTC.AX slips 1.7% and Xero XRO.AX drops 2.4%
** YTD, sub-index down 15.9%, including day's moves
