XBiotech: Adds noted cardiologist to its scientific advisory board

** Drug developer's shares  XBIT.O  up 28 pct to $2.96 
    ** Co adds leading cardiologist Peter Libby to its
scientific advisory board; Libby to help XBIT advance clinical
studies of its experimental drug bermekimab
    ** Bermekimab, being studied as potential treatments for
various indications, will also be evaluated in patients at high
risk of heart attack and stroke
    ** Co says the drug has FDA's fast track status for
bermekimab in cardiovascular medicine
    ** Over last 6 trading days, XBIT has lost about 43 percent 
    ** More than 550,000 shares traded, 10X its 50-day moving
avg
    ** Despite Wednesday's gains, stock had fallen ~19 pct YTD
