Appointment of Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary
 
Xaar plc ("Xaar", "the Group" or "the Company"), the digital inkjet printing and 3D technology Group headquartered in Cambridge, UK, is pleased to announce the appointment of Shomit Kenkare as Chief Financial Officer and Director of the Board from 15 November 2018.
 
Shomit initially joined Xaar as Head of Corporate Development in June 2018 from Kodak, the NYSE-listed technology firm, where he held a number of senior global financial and management roles in a career spanning twenty years.  
 
Shomit's final nine years at Kodak were spent in the Commercial Printing industry. His most recent role was CFO and VP of Finance for Kodak's Enterprise Inkjet, Software and Solutions, and Advanced Materials and Micro 3D Printing divisions, where he was responsible for developing and implementing the financial strategy of businesses in both growth and maturity phases. Prior to this, Shomit was Divisional CFO for the Digital Printing and Enterprise division and before that Finance Director for the EMEA region.
 
Since joining Xaar, Shomit has led the Group's strategic partnerships and M&A activities, including supporting the joint investment partnership with Stratasys, while playing an active role in the Board's strategic review of the Printhead business.
 
Camila Cottage, Corporate Reporting Manager, is named Company Secretary in addition to her current responsibilities, effective 15 November 2018. Camila is responsible for corporate compliance and reporting across the Group. She became ACCA qualified in 2008, while working at Ernst & Young LLP in Audit for 6 years, and joined Xaar in 2011 as the Financial Accountant.
