The major U.S. stock indexes pulled back from record intraday peaks hit earlier on Friday after weaker-than-expected August jobs data stoked worries of an economic slowdown and dampened some of the optimism around potential Federal Reserve rate cuts.  .N

At  13:30 EDT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was down 0.61% at 45,342.24.The S&P 500 .SPX was down 0.50% at 6,468.74, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was down 0.23% at 21,657.11.
