    ** Drug developer reports positive results from a
pharmacokinetics bridging study of its oxypurinol formulation -
a drug aimed at treating progressive kidney disease  urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nGNX3hzBhY
    ** Says study showed a substantial increase in oral
bioavailability of the drug provided with food compared to the
fasted state
    ** In addition, co says the study was safe and there were no
drug related adverse effects upon oral administration of
oxypurinol 
    ** Co's shares were among top percentage gainers across U.S.
exchanges in premarket trading 
    ** As of Friday's close, XRTX has fallen a little over 26%
