Sports retailer XXL jumps after Frasers launches takeover bid

** Shares in Norwegian sports retailer XXL XXL.OL jump 24%
after its second-biggest shareholder Frasers FRAS.L launched a
voluntary offer to acquire all remaining XXL shares at NOK 10
per share
** The offer represents a premium of 25% compared to XXL's
closing price of NOK 8.00 on Thursday
** If gains hold, it will see its best day since Oct. 11,
2023
** Frasers' stock slips around 1%
