March 18 (Reuters) - British sportswear and fashion group Frasers FRAS.L said on Tuesday it would make a mandatory offer for the shares of Norwegian sporting goods retailer XXL ASA XXL.OL that it does not already own, after increasing its stake through a rights issue.
Frasers now owns a 32.9% stake in XXL after the rights issue and has crossed the one-third threshold to make a mandatory bid for the remaining shares, as per the Norwegian trading rules, the British firm said in a statement.
