Korea Zinc proceeds with delayed shareholder meeting despite objections
SEOUL, Jan 23 (Reuters) - Korea Zinc 010130.KS , the
world's largest zinc refiner, proceeded with its delayed
shareholder meeting on Thursday despite objections from Young
Poong 000670.KS and private equity firm MBK Partners.
Korea Zinc has been in a takeover battle since September
that has driven its shares up as much as 333% in the past four
months.
