Wall Street's main indexes surged on Thursday, boosted by technology stocks, as
China sounded hopeful on trade negotiations with the United States, lifting
investor sentiment that has been dented by growing worries of a recession.  .N

26,382.64. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 1.36% at 2,927.18 and the Nasdaq Composite
 .IXIC  was up 1.58% at 7,981.274.
