A rise in technology shares lifted Wall Street on Thursday, as China sounded
hopeful of a resolution to the long-standing trade dispute with the United
States, easing investor fears of the risk of a recession.  .N 
    At 10:50 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was up 0.77% at
26,235.39. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.79% at 2,910.65 and the Nasdaq Composite
 .IXIC  was up 1.05% at 7,939.364.
