Opel on schedule to develop electric SUV with Leapmotor, CEO says PARIS, Oct 12 (Reuters) - Opel Chief Executive Florian Huettl said on Monday that his company, a unit of Stellantis STLAM.MI, is on schedule to develop an electric Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) with its Chinese partner Leapmotor 9863.HK within two years.
Opel is learning a lot from Leapmotor about speed, such as less planning and more development, he told reporters at the Paris autoshow.
The production of the new SUV would start in mid 2028, he added.
