Just needed to know how regular the Volume figures are updated .
It says on one of the older introductory videos (the other year or so) that all data is updated @ 6:00am every day. So that's what I've always believed.
So that would mean one day behind to the current trading day if a 7:00am RNS is released before the current day's trading is about to commence @ 8:00am
- if I've understood correctly.
But I have noticed, over a long period, that when I've been anticpating annual trading results (and interim) updates to the Stockreports page, it can take at least 2 days for that page to update.
Which is not quite quite what the updates @ 6:00am every day, means.
I had concerns this month over BT's and VOD's annual trading updates, as I'd swear I was on the third day or more and no updated data - so by the second company's published trading results I sent a query in to Stocko.
Following day there was a response in my inbox.
To be perfectly honest, I couldn't 100% decipher it, as all I was asking for was a simple "when to expect the updated data to show up?" Didn't want to resend my query until I could work out why the reply was going over my head, so went on my rounds within Stocko and was looking at something on one of those two pages, and hey presto! All updated to reflect the latest annual results with the nice, new, 2 year forward estimates in place. Happiness!
I assumed the responder to my query could see they had been updated and must have assumed I was after a deeper reply. But issue solved and I was happy.
So my take away on this is:
1) Data is updated daily at 6:00am each day.
2) But for subscribers allow at least 2 days from the morning you see trading results published by a company in RNS releases before expecting to see on the Stockranks page. (Volume may be easier/faster, to update though?)
Perhaps someone with more pertinent knowledge might correct /update my post.
