There is nothing else to say but what an amazing start to October.

Alterian (LON:ALN) didn't keep £2 but I'm holding tight.

Avanti Communications Group Plc (LON:AVN) marks time ahead of November satellite launch.

Davis Service Group (LON:DVSG) is looking stronger above £4

Minco (LON:MIO) reports on Xtierra, in which it holds shares.

"Minco participates in a zinc and silver production focus in Mexico through its 40% ownership of Xtierra Inc., a Canadian public company whose shares are listed on the TSX Venture Exchange(XAG) and which is completing a feasibility study on its Bilbao silver-zinc project in Zacatecas." The drilling results appear to have found some thick zones of oxide. The additional mineralisation will add to the existing resource base.

I took part in the recent placing at 3.25p so am pleased with the price movement and expect this to be a lot higher when/if the market starts to believe what it could be worth. Management have some catching up to do as this has been a serial disappointer in the past.

Medusa Mining (LON:MML) - gapped up today. Not quite sure why but assume it is something to do with the dividend being approved. Maybe it's just the gold price. No idea. I first bought at 77p.

Ortac Resources (LON:OTC) - I am now 200+% up. I have banked 1/3rd and will run the rest.

Ocean Wilsons Hldgs (LON:OCN) - ticks up again. Nothing much leaves Brazil without lining OCN's pockets. A neat play on Brazil.

Vatukoula Gold Mines (LON:VGM) - another good (am I or am I not a master of the understatement) day.
