Mid-Reporting season “Gravity of Change” check.

To date the reporting season has painted the picture of diminishing margins amid a shroud of worry over the Australian consumer which weighs heavily on outlook statements.

Stockopedia’s ability to process this information quickly is an edge for investors with new data and rankings often calculated within 24 - 48 hours of a company releasing their results.

However as we approach the later stages of reporting season the inevitable log jam will occur and therefore there can be delays in getting the data through. Please keep this in mind when analysing the next round of updates in Stockopedia.

While the focus is often made on the absolute StockRank number, Often what can be ignored is the gravity of change for a specific Ranking which can often tell us just as much about the business as the number itself.

Gravity of Rank Change

Here we look at the gravity of change for the ranks within Stockopedia relative to their reports.

It's important at this point to note that we are only measuring the size of the change. Sometimes a stock may improve a factor by over 15, however the overall score is still low. So be sure to do your research on this list.

Members can see the rate of change by hovering their mouse point over the arrow next to a specific factor. This will show members how much the rank has changed in the past 30 days.

As new company results are tabulated by the end of the month, this list will change (this is because thefinancial performance of other companies will impact each company’s relative ranking score). Despite this, this is still a good guide to witness how the latest set of financials have changed the drivers of a specific stock’s returns.

Below we have included the gravity of change in Quality, Value, Momentum and StockRank scores for all the major companies who have reported thus far this reporting season and we have the latest data in the program to analyse.

This list is extensive, though it is not complete. If you have any companies of interest who have announced their results AND the data has already been included in Stockopedia, then we are happy to review. Otherwise just keep an eye of changes for stocks of interest yourself as described above.

Thanks Elio. I can't access detail at the moment. Any idea why Enero (ASX:EGG) has dropped?

Few immediately pop out.

1. Is the drop in cash

2. That analysts have downgraded 2023/24 EPS expectations

3.. Wilson's is now no longer is a major holder (prior to the report they held over 10%)

Just selling 5% is over 4 million shares. EGG normally trades a little over 200,000 shares per day.

I don't know why Wilson's are selling, but the desperate need to get out means the buyers are waiting, sitting on the sidelines, until the majority of the selling is done. One of Wilson's parcels on 20th Feb was over 11 million shares.

Not much else to report as the numbers otherwise solid were as can be seen in Stockopedia
