Like an overfeed child I will accept the latter. And while it will ensure for the child of a lifetime of weight loss schemes and diet plans… it is just too sweet to ignore. Trust me - I know what this feels like :-)

Broader Market Sentiment
We look at the direction of both the US and ASX markets to gain an understanding of the broader sentiment at the minute. It is important to stress here that I DO NOT use this to time my entry or exit out of stocks. I prefer to use the individual charts of stocks to do that. However I find it useful in helping us determine how aggressive/cautious traders should be in their trading. In short the more positive the broader market is the more risks you can take and vice versa.
US / S&P500
It felt like everyone got the memo a day late. The 50 basis point cut from the Fed was starting to be expected by many pockets of the market. But when it happened the response was somewhat muted until the next day when things went bananas and you couldn’t not make money holding anything Thursday evening / Friday early morning our time.
